How to Save iMovie on Mac

iMovie is a video editing application made by Apple which was launched specifically for Apple products; iPhone, iPad, MacBook, etc. With iMovie, video editing activities become easier because users are not required to install any third-party video editing app.

Well, when you finish editing a video, of course, you want to immediately save your edits to your device, right? That’s why, just like the title of today’s article, we will discuss how to save iMovie videos on Mac devices.

As usual, before we move on to the steps, make sure that you have a finished project or a project that you want to save. Now, let’s move on to the steps you have to follow:

  • From your “iMovie” app, you can select a project that has been completed or a project that you want to save in the “Projects” tab.
  • Assuming your project is already finished, click on the three dots to the right of its name, and then select “Share Project”.
  • From the bottom of the list, select “File” to save your edits to your Mac device.
  • A pop-up then will appear with options to customize, add a description, tag, or adjust the resolution and quality of your saved video.
  • Click “Next”, and then you have to name your file, along with its file location. Enter a file name next to “Save As”, and choose a specific folder to locate your file next to “Where”.
  • Finally, click “Save” to confirm and complete the process.
